FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How can I ship a vehicle overseas?

The process is very simple. Click our BOOK NOW link above, enter the details, & upload a copy of your title. Once the form is completed, hit submit and AES will generate your dock receipt. Your dock receipt will enable you to deliver the vehicle to the port of loading which will also include all the delivery instructions necessary for you to have any easy handover of your cargo to the port. Once delivered to the port and your title is validated by US Customs and Border Protection, your vehicle will sail to its final destination. Upon receiving payment for the ocean freight shipment and any other assessorial services, we will release your vehicle so you can collect it at destination.

Your title must be assigned if you are shipping from our Galveston, TX port or our Jacksonville, FL port. For US buyers, the purchaser will be the shipper/exporter. For foreign buyers, the last US seller on the back of the title will be the shipper/exporter and the last buyer will be the consignee. For further details regarding the Customs requirements, you can download the Customs guidelines.

No, for safety reasons, your gas tank should be at ¼ tank or less due to U.S. Coast Guard regulations.

What preparations can I make to ensure my vehicles loads on board a vessel?

We highly suggest having a strong battery that does not need a jump start or power pack to start the car. Although the stevedores will try to jump start each vehicle, there are occasions in which the battery is so drained it will not take a jump therefore will have to be towed on board the vessel at an additional charge. In addition, make sure your vehicle has a minimum of ¼ tank of fuel especially in the colder months of the year.
